I want you to blare the explicit music when grandma walks out of the bridal suite. Planning a wedding is stressful. Make sure the vendors don’t suck the energy out of you.

Staying up to date on bridal trends is one of my favorite parts of the industry! The trends and styles are changing from year to year. The constant change forces me to take on more education, and the perfectionist in me makes me do it 100x until it’s right. So it’s a win win really.

I was stealing my mom’s curling irons all throughout my childhood. We all knew I was going to do something in the hair industry, that was a given.
But I didn’t start out in the hair industry... Yo girl started in the music industry! (insert music notes) Living in Nashville, and experiencing every young singer/songwriter's dream, I knew something was missing.
In every salon I worked in they would try and change me. They wanted to change the way I talked, the way I acted, the way I dressed. I wasn’t a good fit for the bridal industry.
You know what I say to that? (insert middle finger)

I’m probably going to drop an f bomb in an email. That’s just natural.
There’s a 90% chance I’m wearing a band tee. Because band tees are cool.

The Queen of Halloween
My 6x Great grandma was the first doctor in Wisconsin. Her name was Maryanne LaBuche. There’s a really insane story about her family being involved in a historic massacre where she lost her son, and saved her infant granddaughter. Look it up, it’s nuts.
Everyone knew my grandma not as Dr. Maryanne, but Aunt Maryanne. She was widely requested and well known for her comforting bedside manner. So in other terms, being cool runs in the family.
I’m obsessed with my family history
Before beauty school, I lived in Nashville and played country music. I have been singing all of my life, and taught myself to play guitar when I was 9. I had a record out when I was 17, and was even signed by Dolly Parton’s record company! Super cool, but once music became a job. I hated it. I still love to tear up a karaoke night or bring my guitar out for a Kumbaya moment around the campfire, but no more shows for this girl. You’re more likely to see me tearing up the dancefloor with a Tito’s in hand!

I used to have a 2 headed pig named Rudy that was famous on Animal Planet. My parents flew it out to California to be on a talk show. Youtube it. I can’t make this up.
